WKU VOLLEYBALL | Hudson Reflects on "Team USA" Experience

WKU volleyball head coach has had a very busy summer already, highlighted by his experience coaching for Team USA.

Hudson served as an assistant coach on the U.S. Women’s Junior National Training Team during its training block in early July.

“It was an incredible honor to be asked to be a part of that experience,” said Hudson.

One of the neatest parts for Hudson was when he was wearing the “Team USA” shirt.

“You don’t really grasp it until you slide that shirt on,” said Hudson. “There’s just something about having ‘USA’ on your chest. It just feels different and makes you understand that you’re doing something pretty special.”

Hudson was not the only member of the Western Kentucky volleyball program to have a spot on “Team USA.”

Middle hitter Rachel Anderson earned herself a spot on the U.S. Collegiate National Team – Minneapolis Program earlier this summer.
