WKU releases suspended basketball players from their scholarships

Less than three weeks after the announced suspension of freshmen Chris McNeil, Marlon Hunter, and junior Fredrick Edmond from the Western Kentucky Basketball program, WKU has announced that three players have been released from their scholarships and have the ability to transfer schools.

Below is a statement from WKU Director of Athletics Todd Stewart

“Fredrick Edmond, Marlon Hunter and Chris McNeal are no longer enrolled at Western Kentucky University. They have been released from their scholarship and are able to pursue other opportunities.”
