WKU MEN'S BASKETBALL | Winning the battle but losing the war
11/20/2015 11:30 AM
Wednesday night Western Kentucky went to Nashville to take on a very good mid major team in Belmont. 175 total points were scored but when triple zeros hit the time clock, it was the Bruins with the 90-85 victory over the Hilltoppers, dropping WKU’s record to 1-1.
Western dominated many of the statistics, shooting 47 per cent from the field and knocking down 10 three pointers. The ‘Toppers out rebounded the Bruins 42-35 and forced 13 Belmont turnovers. However what did in WKU, was personal fouls. Three Hilltoppers fouled out of the game, and in the end, having lost that fire power, turned out to be the difference.
WKU will host Stony Brook Saturday at Noon ET, 11 AM Bowling Green time.
Reporter Chad Bishop was in Nashville covering the game. We break down the contest with Chad.
