In the school’s first year in Conference USA, Western Kentucky proved to a force to deal with heading into the future. After a sloppy 2-4 start, the Hilltoppers pulled things together and finished the season on a five-game winning streak.
One of the big reasons behind the team’s success was quarterback Brandon Doughty, who shattered school and C-USA records while throwing for 49 touchdowns and more than 4800 yards. Doughty will be back again this year, and WKU will look to ride the momentum into the 2015 season.
WBKO sports journalist Chad Bishop joined cn|2 Sports to discuss what he’s seen from the Toppers so far in spring practice.
