Western Kentucky linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe has announced he will enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

As a result, the redshirt senior will forgo his final season of eligibility.

“Staying in Bowling Green to continue my college education was the best decision of my life,” said Iyiegbuniwe in a statement. “I am one credit hour away from graduating, and I will graduate this spring. All the memories, friendships, and lessons I have learned the last three years will last a lifetime.”

Iyiegbuniwe was one of the biggest playmakers this past season for the Hilltopper defense. He led the team with 116 total tackles and led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss.
