WKU FOOTBALL | Hilltoppers ready to take on the defending champs

11/24/2015 11:27 AM

This Friday, the Western Kentucky football team will close out the regular season with their biggest test of the year. They welcome Marshall, the reigning Conference USA east division champs.

Last year, Marshall was on track for a perfect season, stopped short by the Toppers in a shoot out between the two high powered offenses that ended with a final score of 67-66, and Marshall’s only loss. This year it’s Western on top of the division, and unblemished in conference play. The Thundering Herd are out for revenge, and looking to take the Conference USA East title.

At his weekly press conference, Western coach Jeff Brohm talked about what makes Marshall a title contender every year, and why he looks forward to big games like this.
