WKU FOOTBALL | Hilltoppers ready for another installment of a high scoring rivalry

11/25/2016 10:34 AM

Western Kentucky Football is heading to Marshall on Saturday and if their short history repeats itself, it will be another very high scoring showdown. Last year, WKU beat Marshall 49-28, and beat the Herd 66-65 the year before.

There are also big Conference USA implications to this game. WKU is 6-1 in conference play, which is the same conference record as Old Dominion. So if the Tops lose and the Monarchs win, Western would lose their place in the Conference title game. The Thundering Herd don’t stack up statistically as well as they have in years past, but there is still plenty to play for for Western Kentucky.

We spoke with Reporter Ryan Dearbone about the upcoming weekend for WKU, and also touched on the one month stretch of road games coming up for the basketball team.
