WKU FOOTBALL | Hilltoppers Preparing for Season Opener

08/28/2017 06:05 PM

The WKU football team will open up its regular season on Saturday evening against in-state foe EKU.

The game will be the first for Mike Sanford as Western Kentucky head coach.

“We got an opportunity against a great opponent with a great tradition to get out there and establish how we want to play the game of football,” said Sanford.

EKU and WKU will kickoff at 7 p.m. ET inside Houchens-Smith Stadium.

The Hilltoppers lead the all-time series against the Colonels 47-35-3.
