WKU FOOTBALL | Florida International has everything to lose when they play Western

Western Kentucky Football is back from its bye week and heads to Miami Florida this Saturday to take on Florida International University.

FIU is 5-6 on the season, coming off an embarrassing 56-0 loss to Marshall, and Western is their final game of the season. The Panthers, on the cusp of bowl eligibility, have everything to lose Saturday when the Hilltoppers come to town.

Western is 8-2 on the season, perfect in conference play, and will now be well rested and recovered coming off a bye.

Even on a bye week, WKU quarterback Brandon Doughty picked up another accolade. After TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin failed to throw a touchdown pass last weekend, Doughty took sole control of longest active streak with at least one passing touchdown. DOughty has completed one or more touchdown tosses in 24 straight games.

Doughty also leads the nation in completion percentage (72.7), is second nationally in touchdown passes (34), and is third nationally in passing yards (3,590).
