WKU FOOTBALL | D'Andre Ferby learned about his own perseverance during injury

08/07/2017 06:01 PM

D’Andre Ferby missed the entire 2016 season for Western Kentucky football, leaving the season-opening game against Rice after his first and only carry of the game.

Ferby suffered a serious injury on that play, underwent surgery and was resigned to the sidelines for a whole year.

But redshirt junior has found the silver lining in the unfortunate circumstance. At WKU’s media day, Ferby he said he is now 100 percent healthy, and has learned just how much he can persevere. He also dropped 20 pounds and says he is much more of a skilled player at the lower weight.
