WKU FOOTBALL | Coach Holt cherishing his son's final game as a Hilltopper

12/18/2015 11:30 AM

Western Kentucky Football is a few days away from their Beach Bowl matchup against the University of South Florida. It is the final game of the season, and the final game of many young men’s careers. For Western Defensive Coordinator Nick Holt, it is the end of an era.

Coach Holt’s son of the same name, Nick, plays linebacker for the ‘Toppers. This season, Holt has the third most tackles on the revitalized WKU defense, he has a team high 4 sacks, and collected three picks this year. He has started every game in his two years as WKU linebacker.

Nick’s younger brother Ben is also on the Western roster, a freshman running back.

The Hilltoppers kick off in Miami at 2:30 ET on Monday afternoon, and it will be the player Nick Holt’s final game as a Hilltopper, and until the final whistle blows, it will be something his father is cherishing as strongly as he is.
