12/03/2015 05:57 PM

Western Kentucky quarterback Brandon Doughty has pulled in his first annual award of the season. The graduate senior is the inaugural recipient of the American Sports Network FBS Player of the Year Award.

This makes five awards this week for the Western signal caller. He was named a finalist for the Manning Award, the AutoNation Offensive Player of the Week, the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week and a Manning Star of the Week.

The accolades are rolling in as Doughty continues to improve upon his record setting career on the Hill. Doughty is now the all-time leader in passing yards and completions at WKU. Doughty also leads the FBS this season in completion percentage (72.5) and touchdowns (42), and is in the top five in passing yards.

Doughty and the Hilltoppers will host Southern Miss this Saturday in the C-USA Championship game at L.T. Smith Stadium.
