WKU FOOTBALL | Beaten up on the Bayou

10/24/2015 10:50 PM

Heisman Trophy front runner Leonard Fournette ran for 150 yards and a touchdown (his 7th straight game of at least 150 yards rushing), as LSU outslugged Western Kentucky 48-20.

The Hilltoppers never led in the game, although they were tied with the Tigers 7-7 early on. However, while Western QB Brandon Doughty threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns, the ‘Toppers also turned the ball over twice, once by fumble and the other by interception.

WKU’s Taywan Taylor caught 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. LSU Quarterback Brandon Harris completed 11 of 20 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns.

With the win, The Bayou Bengals improve to 7-0 and will probably move up from fifth in the AP Poll. WKU falls to 6-2 and next plays at Old Dominion, Saturday October 31st at Noon Eastern Time.
