The Hilltoppers get ready for another road trip hoping for their first four-game winning streak since 2005. That’s after WKU beat Louisiana-Lafayette 42-23, snapping an 18-game home losing streak at home. Western Kentucky football coach Willie Taggart says despite the huge victory, the team is already busy preparing for their battle against ULM.
Taggart says his players are now playing close attention to his coaching staff, something they didn’t always do earlier in the season.
Bobby Rainey made the most of his last Homecoming game by rushing for 206 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. Taggart discussed what Rainey’s success means for the program.
The Hilltoppers face Louisiana-Monroe at 2:30pm Saturday. The Warhawks enter the game at 2-5 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
