WKU BASKETBALL | Tashia Brown Recognized by C-USA... Again!

02/26/2018 05:35 PM

Western Kentucky women’s basketball player Tashia Brown was named Conference USA’s Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

It’s the fourth time this season she has been named C-USA’s Player of the Week, which matches a WKU program record for most Player of the Week honors by an “individual in a single season.”

Brown had a career-high 38 points in the Lady Toppers’ win over Charlotte on Friday night.

Brown is averaging 23.3 points per game, which is currently the second-best average of any WKU women’s basketball player in program history. Crystal Kelly averaged 24.1 points per game in 2006-2007.

Brown also is averaging 5.4 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game and 2.1 steals per game this season.
