WKU BASKETBALL | Tashia Brown Named C-USA Player of the Year

WKU women’s basketball forward Tashia Brown was named the Conference USA Player of the Year on Wednesday morning.

The senior becomes the seventh player in program history to be named a conference player of the year.

Brown leads the Lady Toppers in scoring, averaging 22.9 points per game. She is sixth nationally in that category among Division I players.

Brown’s Lady Toppers are the No. 2 seed in this week’s C-USA Women’s Basketball Tournament in Frisco, Tx. They will play either No. 7 seed Florida Atlantic or No. 10 seed UTSA on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET in the quarterfinal round of the bracket.
