Western Kentucky athletic director Todd Stewart spoke to the media on Thursday about the upcoming men’s and women’s basketball seasons.

He was asked specifically about the the men’s programs transition to new head coach Rick Stansbury.

Stansbury was hired in March as WKU head men’s basketball coach.

Prior to WKU, he was an assistant coach at Texas A&M. Stansbury is best known though as head coach of the Mississippi State men’s basketball team, a position he held for 14 seasons.
