WKU BASKETBALL | Louisville native expected to "get buckets" for the Hilltoppers

11/04/2015 11:30 AM

The Western Kentucky University basketball program took the court Monday night, and knocked off Lindsey Wilson College 84-71 in the Topper’s first exhibition matchup of the season.

The leading scorer for Western was Louisville native, Jeffersontown High School grad, Aaron Cosby. Cosby went 7-13 from the field to put up a game high 22 points. Cosby was 50 percent from three point land, and perfect from the free throw line. The other two Toppers to break double digit scoring were Chris Harrison-Docks with 15 points, and Frederick Edmond with 13. Edmond finished three boards shy of a double-double.

Aaron Cosby is in his first year as a Hilltopper as a graduate transfer from the University of Illinois. He is quickly proving himself as a threat from anywhere on the court, and head coach Ray Harper is counting on him to “get buckets.”
