WKU BASKETBALL | Hilltopper programs ready for 2016-2017 seasons

10/03/2016 07:02 PM

The WKU men’s and women’s basketball programs are hoping for plenty of success during the 2016-2017 seasons.

On the men’s side, the Hilltoppers are led by first-year WKU head coach Rick Stansbury. Stansbury comes to Western after having spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Texas A&M. He is most known though for his time as head coach at Mississippi State head coach from 1998-2012.

Meanwhile, the women’s basketball team is wanting to keep the momentum going from last year’s 27-win season. The Lady Toppers return their top five scorers from last season.
