04/04/2018 06:22 PM

Western Kentucky women’s basketball introduced Greg Collins as its 11th head coach in program history on Wednesday afternoon.

Collins takes over for Michelle Clark-Heard, who left to become head coach of the Cincinnati women’s basketball program.

Collins has spent the last six seasons on the WKU women’s basketball staff. During those six seasons, the Lady Toppers won four conference tournament championships and two more regular season championships.

Collins spoke about his new role during Wednesday’s press conference:

Last season, the Lady Toppers went 24-9 overall, advancing to the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament.
