As first reported by Steve Jones of the Louisville Courier-Journal, former University of Louisville quarterback Will Gardner as elected to continue his football career at West Georgia University.

West Georgia is a Division II school that went 12-2 in 2015, and lost in the D II semifinals to Northwest Missouri State.

Will Gardner is a Georgia native and should be eligible to play immediately. Gardner took the reigns of the offense after Teddy Bridgewater’s departure to the NFL, and in his seven starts for U of L, he threw for nearly 1,700 yards, and completed 12 touchdown passes before a season ending knee injury. He did not play a snap in 2015.
