Why the Boys Sweet 16 might have a "Hoosiers" feel

The Kentucky High School Boys Sweet 16 basketball Tournament, appears to be wide open this year. Sixteen teams from across the Commonwealth, all battling for the one championship. All games are at Rupp Arena and all times listed are Eastern Time.
Here is Wednesday’s schedule:
12pm Buckhorn vs Murray
1:30pm Trinity vs Newport Central Catholic
6:30pm Bowling Green vs Elliott County
8pm Dunbar vs Mercer County
Thursday’s Schedule:
12pm Lawrence County vs Doss
1:30pm South Laurel vs Christian County
6:30pm Mason County vs Taylor County
8pm South Oldham vs Owensboro Catholic
Winners meet on Friday with the Semifinals on Saturday and the Championship game Sunday at 2pm.
Kentucky is one of the few states that crowns just one champion. That means you can have a situation, like in the movie HOOSIERS, where David can play Goliath. Jason Alexander of bluegrasspreps.com feels that is what makes the Sweet 16 so special.
