USL SOCCER | LouCity, FCC Draw in First Rivalry Match-Up This Season

04/23/2017 12:36 AM

Rivalry games always seem to be intense, close games.

That was the case on Saturday night at Nippert Stadium, as Louisville City FC and FC Cincinnati fought to a 1-1 draw in front of 20,437 fans.

With the result, LouCity (3-0-2) still has not lost a game this season.

On the flip side, FCC (2-2-2) wraps up a busy week that featured three games for the Orange and Blue.

LCFC’s Brian Ownby got the scoring started in the match, netting a goal in the 20th minute of the match. It was his first goal in a Louisville FC jersey.

Former LouCity star Aodhan Quinn responded for FC Cincinnati. The midfielder scored in the 78th minute to tie the match, ultimately leading to a draw.

On deck for LouCity FC is Toronto FC II on April 29 at 7 p.m. ET inside Louisville Slugger Field.

Meanwhile, FCC will have to play without one of its biggest stars, Djiby Fall, in its next match against Bethlehem Steel FC on April 29 at 5 p.m. ET after Fall received a red card late in the match against LouCity.
