USL SOCCER | James O'Connor keeping team focused heading into Saturday

07/13/2017 05:36 PM

The next installment of the River Cities Rivalry takes place this weekend. FC Cincinnati is traveling to Louisville City FC for a 7:30 game.

And FC Cincinnati will be in better shape than originally thought, because of a recent match postponement. FCC Was scheduled to play Miami FC in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on Wednesday night, but inclement Florida weather forced a washout.

Louisville City FC hasn’t played since last Saturday, and was expected to have the upper-hand in conditioning, but the postponing of the game in Florida means fresher legs for the orange and blue too.

You won’t find Lou City coach James O’Connor reading too much into that though. At his availability Thursday morning, O’Connor said he his simply trying to keep his team as dialed in and healthy as possible.
