11/10/2017 05:54 PM

Two of the USL’s top-5 offensive teams are squaring off in Monday’s championship game. The home team, Louisville City FC has taken more shots than any other team in the league this season, and its 64 goals scored are the second most in the USL.

Louisville City’s opponent, Swope Park Rangers have the fifth highest goal total this season, which is set up by the highest passing accuracy percentage in the league.

The championship game is set for 9:00 p.m. ET on Monday night, and is being televised on ESPNU. USL president, Jake Edwards spoke in Louisville on Friday, and said this championship game should be one of the more exciting ones in recent years.

Louisville City FC will be relying on those fans once again on Monday night. Louisville Slugger Field accommodates a little over 13,000 seated fans, even more for those willing to stand. Lou City coach James O’Connor said the fans played a huge impact in the team’s eastern conference championship game, and hopes the same is true on Monday.

The visiting Swope Park Rangers have had serious battles in route to the championship game. The western conference champs are appearing in the cup final match for the second consecutive season after winning two of its three playoff games on penalty kicks.
