UofL WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Moving onto the second round
03/18/2016 06:52 PM
Myisha Hines-Allen had a game high 25 points, and the Louisville Women’s Basketball team used a 17-0 run to pull away from Central Arkansas, as the Cards eliminated the Sugar Bears 87-60. Louisville moves onto the second round of the NCAA Tournament and will host DePaul Sunday in the YUM Center.
Myisha Hines-Allen showed why she is the ACC player of the year. Her 25 point effort was the 12th time this season she had 20 points or more in a game and the 10th-consecutive game she has led the team in scoring.
The game started off shaky for the Cardinals. Perhaps they underestimated their opponent. Central Arkansas grabbed an early 18-12 lead. However Dakota Weatherford came off the bench to provide a spark, as the Cardinals went on that second quarter run.
Louisville faces DePaul on Sunday. The game time had not been decided as of Friday Night.
