UofL WOMEN'S BASKETBALL | Cards Hold off Miami (FL) in Top-15 Battle

The #9 Louisville Cardinals led most of Sunday’s game and held on to earn a big 63-59 win over the #14 Miami Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon.

The Cards (16-4, 4-2) led for 38:37 of the game’s 40 minutes. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes (14-4, 3-3) never led.

Cardinal forward Mariyah Moore led the way with a game-high 24 points. Moore had seven rebounds as well.

Two other UofL players scored in double-digits on Sunday. Guard Briahanna Jackson scored 11 points, while forward Myisha Hines-Allen had a double-double, 10 points and 11 rebounds.

UofL also dominated in the paint. The Cards outscored the Canes 32-22 in the paint and out-rebounded the Canes 46-31 for the game.

On deck for the Cardinals is another home game, Wednesday night at 7 ET against Georgia Tech.
