The Cardinals are packing up and heading west for their first game in the 2015 NCAA tournament.
Louisville earned a No. 4 seed and will start the tournament against 13-seed UC Irvine from the Western Athletic Conference on Friday. Ironically, despite being placed in the East Region, the Cardinals will have to travel to Seattle for their opening game.
The Cardinals finished the regular season 24-7, including a home finale upset against then No. 2 Virginia, before losing to North Carolina in the first round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament.
The Anteaters won the WAC Tournament and sport a 21-12 record.
No. 25 Murray State did not make the field despite a top-25 ranking, 27-5 record, and 25-game win streak during the season.
