UofL TENNIS | Ecarma Family May Be "First Family" of Tennis

06/29/2017 07:55 PM

UofL head coach Rex Ecarma is known for producing good tennis players at Louisville.

But, he may soon also be known for being the father of two future tennis stars.

“I think they just wanted to spend some time with their dad,” said Ecarma. “Their dad’s always at the tennis center.”

Ecarma’s soon-to-be ninth grader, Xavier, is of the Top 50 U-16 players in all of the south (nine states). In fact, he is only one of four eighth graders in that Top 50.

Meanwhile Ecarma’s soon-to-be fifth grader, Landon, has been ranked as high as number three in America in his class.

One of the coolest parts for Ecarma is that his sons say that they would one day like to play for their dad.
