At the end of the 2015-16 school year, the University of Louisville Men’s soccer team for was awarded the Cardinal Cup in the school’s annual Louie Awards. The university issued award acknowledges the team’s efforts in community service.

Head coach Ken Lolla has his team continuing to give back heading into the 2016 season, and it started by hosting their sixth annual free soccer clinic called “Kickin with JT and Friends.” The team hosts the clinic for kids and adults with special needs, and it was inspired by coach Lolla’s nephew who has special needs and is an avid soccer fan. A majority of the men’s team was at the event, and they said being there is simply part of their identity as a team.
