UofL MEN'S BASKETBALL | Cards hold annual media day

10/11/2016 08:12 PM

The University of Louisville men’s basketball team held its annual media day on Tuesday afternoon.

It’s the first time this season the media has had a chance to hear from head coach Rick Pitino and his players.

The Cards have high expectations this season, returning 10 lettermen from the 2015-2016 Cardinals.

Last year, they finished 23-8 overall and missed out on the NCAA Tournament after self-imposing a postseason ban due to the NCAA’s ongoing investigation into an alleged sex scandal that took place from 2010-2014.

It was the 14th-straight season Louisville has won 20 or more games. UofL finished 16th in the final AP rankings of the season.

The 2016-2017 Cardinal basketball team begins play Wednesday night with its first of two “Red-White Scrimmages” this season.
