The University of Louisville kicked off their annual spring game on Saturday in front of a record high 33,000 fans and the reigning Sugar Bowl Champs gave Cardinal fans a lot to be excited about. Louisville has 19 starters returning including two Florida transfers, Gerald Christian and Robert Clark who sat out last season plus the return of Dominique Brown who was sidelined last season due to a knee injury. He had racked up two touchdowns and nine carries for 79 yards.
Last year’s Big East offensive player of the year, and potential Heisman candidate, Teddy Bridgewater, was a force to be reckoned with.
He only played the first half and took one drive in the second half.
He was 16 for 20, throwing for 214 yards with two touchdowns.
And despite a great performance, Bridgewater said he still has a lot of room for improvement….
During half time, the Louisville men’s national championship team and the women’s national runner-up team were honored.
And former UofL players who are now in the NFL were also interviewed, including Atlanta Falcon’s Harry Douglass, The Jet’s Bilal Powell, and the Patriot’s Deion Branch.
