UofL is a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament

Despite having won 12 of their last 13, despite steamrolling through the AAC Tournament winning every game by double digits, despite a number 5 national ranking, Louisville goes into the NCAA Tournament as a surprisingly low 4 seed. The Cardinals will face 13th seeded Manhattan Thursday. The Jaspers are coached by Rick Pitino’s former assistant at Louisville, Steve Masiello.

Louisville is in the Midwest Region. So is 8th seeded Kentucky. If the Cards and Wildcats both win their first two games, the Commonwealth Rivals would meet in the Sweet 16, but that is a long way off.

This will be the 8th straight year the Cardinals have made it into the Big Dance, 40th time overall.
