UofL HOOPS | Louisville's offense going strong, but Walz wants improvement on defense

12/29/2015 08:30 PM

The Louisville Women’s Basketball team grabbed their fifth straight win last night, an 88-66 beat down of UT-Martin. Six Cardinals finished in double figures, with Myisha Hines-Allen netting a team high 13 points.

The Cards shot better than 54 percent from the floor, and out-rebounded the Skyhawks 32-21. Scoring points isn’t the problem for Louisville, the women are putting up over 70 a game, and distribute the ball well. But head coach Jeff Walz wants to see a lot of improvement on the defensive end of the court, before the Cards star conference play on Friday.

Louisville hosts Florida State on New Years Day, tipoff is set for 4:00 pm ET.
