Wake Forest is investigating “how documents pertaining to the Deacons’ game plan might have ended up in Louisville’s hands” before Saturday’s Louisville game against Wake, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
Wake head coach Dave Clawson learned about the possible “security breach” last Friday and shared it with Wake athletic director Ron Wellman.
According to Wellman, a member of the Demon Deacons’ traveling party found the documents in Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville won the game on Saturday against Wake Forest 44-12.
UofL head coach Bobby Petrino released a statement on the matter:
“I have no knowledge of the situation. We take a lot of pride in the way we operate our program. As I’ve stated already this season, my coaching philosophy has always been to play the game with sportsmanship. Right now, our focus is on our game tomorrow at Houston and finishing the 2016 season strong.”
