UofL FOOTBALL | The significance of Dorian Ethridge's commitment

07/23/2016 10:11 AM

Dorian Ethridge is ranked a 3-star linebacker by 247sports.com and is the top linebacker in the state of West Virginia entering his senior season of high school. His ranking is not necessarily what makes him unique to Louisville, it is where he comes from.

The state of West Virginia is not historically a hotbed of talent for U of L like Florida or Georgia, but for WVU coach and new U of L offensive coordinator Lonnie Galloway has strong ties to the state. Those ties clearly payed off for Louisville. We spoke to CardinalSports.com recruiting analyst Mike Singer this week about Ethridge’s commitment and the role fellow commit TreSean Smith `is playing in bringing even more talent to Louisville.
