UofL FOOTBALL | Taking a Look Back at Saturday's Governor's Cup

Kentucky (7-5) shocked fans inside Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium on Saturday by upsetting #11 Louisville (9-3) thanks to a 47-yard field goal from Austin MacGinnis in the closing seconds.

The Wildcats won the game 41-38.

It was the first since 2010 that UK has beaten UofL in the two schools’ rivalry game.

Kentucky quarterback Stephen Johnson was named the game’s MVP. As a result, he took home the Howard Schnellenberger Award.
