UofL FOOTBALL | Restructuring a deep Cardinal defense

04/01/2016 06:25 AM

The Louisville football team lost a few key figures on their defensive front seven after the 2015 season. To name a few, defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and linebacker James Burgess are projected draftees in this years NFL Draft, and star linebacker Trevon Young will be sidelined for the foreseeable future with a hip injury suffered in the Music City Bowl.

The Cards are now a few weeks into their spring practices, and it is an opportunity for younger players to fill those vacated positions. That included Drew Bailey who is being considered the likely replacement for Rankins on the Defensive line.
