UofL FOOTBALL | Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham Leaves Louisville

01/11/2017 01:37 PM

University of Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has left the Cardinals’ football program.

Grantham, who has been at UofL for the past three seasons, is the new defensive coordinator at Mississippi St. under head coach Dan Mullen.

Meanwhile, Mississippi State’s former Defensive Coordinator Peter Sirmon is reportedly replacing Grantham at UofL.

Sirmon was only a Bulldog for one season and last year, Mississippi State was ranked 110th in total defense. But Sirmon is known as a solid recruiter, helping the Bulldogs bring in the Top-10 recruiting classes two years in a row.

Sirmon also brings NFL experience to the Cards, having played seven seasons with the Tennessee Titans.
