UofL FOOTBALL | Petrino excited by offseason improvements

03/21/2016 08:46 PM

The Louisville football team hits the practice field tomorrow for the official start of spring football. Since the Cards won the Music City Bowl to close the 2015-2016 season, the program has undergone significant changes to the coaching staff and seen a number of players graduate, transfer, or declare for the NFL Draft.

Bobby Petrino has filled the vacant coaching positions with Lonnie Galloway coming from West Virginia to serve as co-offensive coordinator alongside Chris Klenakis, and promoted Nick Petrino to quarterbacks coach. He has also had players hard at work in the weight room to improve speed, explosiveness, and technique.

Petrino, Klenakis, and Galloway addressed the media earlier today and are excited to strap on the pads for spring ball, and we have a few story lines to keep an eye on as the Cards prepare for their April 16 spring game.
