UofL FOOTBALL | Louisville's defense preparing for one of the nation's top receivers

11/20/2015 06:30 AM

The Louisville defense is finally starting to live up to the pre-season hype, especially in the front seven. But the secondary is about to have one of their toughest tests of the year when they try to contain Pittsburgh’s Tyler Boyd.

Boyd has the sixth most receptions of any wide receiver this year in the FBS. He is the most prolific pass catcher in Pitt history, surpassing legendary names like Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Bryant, and he is only a junior.

He has recorded 69 catches for 700 yards this year, with 5 touchdowns and almost 200 rushing yards.

U of L defensive coordinator Todd Grantham knows Pat Narduzzi sets Boyd up for success, but A) isn’t too concerned about the Pittsburgh wide out, or B) has a lot of confidence in his own team.
