UofL FOOTBALL | Latest On Alleged Shooting Of Football Players

A police report obtained by cn|2 Sports indicates that a member of the UofL football program was contacted the night 3 people were shot during a party at an off-campus apartment.

According to the report, Andy Wagner, the Director of Operations for UofL Football, was notified after officers responded to the scene.

On UofL’s website, Wagner’s bio reads: “ Andy Wagner was hired in 2014 as the director of football operations at the University of Louisville. Wagner oversees every aspect of the Cardinal football program, including team travel, departmental budget, personnel, game day operations, liaison to the Athletics Department senior staff and other organizational and operational duties within Louisville football.”

The report from LMPD says “Andy Wagner w/ UL football team notified” on the night of the shooting (December 11).

The University of Louisville Athletics Department has not confirmed the identities of those shot or that they were football players.

No arrests have been made at this time. We will continue to monitor this story.
