UofL FOOTBALL | Last Chance U's Brittany Wagner discusses Gary McCrae

The hit Netflix Original Series “Last Chance U” debuted July 29, 2016 as a series following a junior college football team in the small town of Scooba, Mississippi for a season. East Mississippi Community College is notorious for winning JUCO National Championships, and graduating their players to division-1 schools.

In the sixth and final episode of the season, the show reveals what schools each player it chronicled ended up at. EMCC linebacker Gary McCrae is now a member of the UofL football team. In the past, EMCC products Za’Darius Smith and A.J. Stamps wound up at UK as well.

The academic adviser for the team, Brittany Wagner, is shown throughout the show as a prominent figure in helping the players achieve their goals- both academically and in football. She Skyped in to cn|2 Sports to discuss the show, former players and possibly attending a UofL game in the future.
