Former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson was announced as the ACC Male Athlete of the Year on Thursday for his performance during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Jackson accounted for an ACC-record 5,261 total yards last season, while also accounting for 45 touchdowns.

Jackson was selected in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in May.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame women’s basketball guard Arike Ogunbowale was named the ACC Female Athlete of the Year.

Both the top male and top female awards were voted on by a panel of select media members.
