Louisville’s reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Lamar Jackson continues to rewrite ACC and U of L record books this season. His latest accomplishment is becoming the ACC’s first player to ever win the conference’s football Player of the Year, and Offensive Player of the Year distinctions in consecutive seasons.

He won by a landslide too, receiving 51 of a possible 59 first place votes for player of the year.

Also today, Jackson was named a finalist for the Walter Camp Award, which honors the college football player of the year.

Through 12 games this season, Jackson has been as good if not better than last season in every stat except for touchdowns. He already has close to 3,500 passing yards, compared to that same number after 13 games last year. Jackson is also 120 yards shy of his season total for rushing yards last year, and up to 42 total touchdowns this season, compared to 51 in 13 games last year.

Mark Blankenbaker from TheCrunchZone.com joined Sports Night on Wednesday to discuss Lamar’s season, and outside chance at winning the Heisman for a second year in a row.
