UofL FOOTBALL | Just three days until season opener

Lamar Jackson captivated the nation last football season, but has drawn relatively little attention this summer. His teammates are pretty confident though that when the team hits the field this Saturday, Jackson will light up the scoreboard once again.

Junior wide receiver Jaylen Smith even added that he expects the reigning Heisman Trophy winner to be even better than last year.

Host of “the Drive” on 93.9 The ‘Ville, Mark Ennis also helped us evaluate the offensive line. Specifically the emergence of a talented freshman tackle.

Mekhi Becton has been one of the biggest story lines of the summer, literally. The 6-foot-7, 340 pound freshman has earned a starting spot against Purdue, and O-line coach Mike Summers emphasized that he did in fact earn it?

Garrett is a Sports Producer for Spectrum News. He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State and got his start as a sports photographer.
