UofL FOOTBALL | Jaylen Smith Returning for Senior Season

UofL wide receiver Jaylen Smith announced on on social media Thursday afternoon that he will return for his senior season.

Smith wrote a statement on Twitter, part of which said, “Well you guys can stop the tears because I’ll be returning to Louisville for my last year as a cardinal. Got some unfinished business to take care of. Year 4 gone be a movie…. literally!”

Smith was the Cardinals’ leading receiver last year, hauling in a team-high 60 receptions for a team-high 980 yards. He also had seven receiving touchdowns.

The Louisville football team opens up the 2018 season against the national champion Alabama Crimson Tide on Sept. 1 in Orlando, Fl.
