UofL FOOTBALL | Defense goes fast and hard

Despite barely beating Boston College 17-14, UofL Head Coach Bobby Petrino was thrilled with the play of his defense. After falling apart the week before in a blowout loss at FSU, the Cards corrected the mistakes, went out and dominated the Eagles, limiting them to less than 80 total yards.
The only reason the game was close at all was because Boston College scored a touchdown on a blocked punt, and another on a fumble recovery that set up a short touchdown run. In other words the defense was not really responsible for the BC Touchdowns.
However at the end of the game, when the Cards offense turned the ball over at mid field, the UofL Defense got a 4 and out to seal the victory.
Next up for the 3-4 Cardinals (2-2 in the ACC) is a Friday night game at Wake Forest (3-5, 1-4).
