UofL FOOTBALL | DeAngelo Brown the latest Card to be dubbed a freak athlete
07/29/2016 08:30 AM

University of Louisville senior defensive lineman DeAngelo Brown was recently named to the All-ACC Preseason team, and has now picked up the title of “freak athlete”. It’s a title not typically earned by nose tackles, but Fox Sports College football analyst Bruce Feldman made an exception for Brown.
At 6-foot-1 and 310 pounds, Brown is only 18 percent body fat. The national average for the same position is about 23-24 percent. In the weight room, he squats 600 pounds, cleans well over 300, and benches 515. This offseason he logged 21 reps on the bench at 315 pounds. The NFL combine standard is 225 pounds, and 21 reps is a decent number for that. Last season, Brown made second team All-ACC after recording 40 tackles, 6 and half for loss.
