The Louisville football program has agreed to a three-game series with USF.

UofL Interim Director of Athletics Vince Tyra announced the news on Thursday.

The games will take place during the 2022, 2024 and 2026 seasons.

“We are committed to scheduling quality programs, and we have done that with the addition of USF to our non-conference schedule,” said Tyra in a press release.

The two programs will play in Louisville on Sept. 24, 2022 and Sept. 19, 2026. They will play in Tampa on Sept. 21, 2024.

Louisville and USF have met 11 times on the football field. The Cardinals lead the series with a 6-5 record.

USF is currently coached by Charlie Strong, who coached the Cardinals from 2010-2013.
